Turmeric Powder-1/2 tbsp5. Red Chilli Powder-2 tbsp6. Black stone flower7. Mace8. Nutmeg9. Cinnamon sticks-410. Cardamom-611. Fennel seeds-1 tbsp12. Cloves-613. Green Chilli paste-2 tbsp14. Fresh mint 15. Fried onions- 616. Ginger Garlic paste-1.5 tbsp17. Lemon Juice- tbsp.18. Semi thick Curd-200 ml19. Coconut milk-100 ml20. Oil/Ghee-5 tbsp21. Raising and Cashew: 2 tbsp22. Salt-2 tbspInstructions Chicken Marinade1. Wash and dry the chicken pieces. 2. Dry roast all the whole masala in skillet3. Grind all the whole spices in mortar and pestle to make a fine powder4. In a large bowl, mix chicken with the dry spices, turmeric and chilli powder5. Add all the wet ingredients and mix together6. Mix the fried onions and salt in this chicken marinade 7. Rest for 60 to 90 minutesRice Preparation 1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes2. Boil 2 liters of water with salt and semi cook the rice (not fully)3. Strain the water immediately Biryani Preparation 1. In an earthen pot, add 1 tbsp of ghee and place chicken pieces with the marinade2. Assemble rice on top 3. Add in dry fruits4. Put chopped mint and fried onion 5. Cover the pot with banana leaf6. Seal the pot with dough 7. Put on high flame for 12 minutes and then on simmer for 8 minutes8. Let it rest for 20-25 minutes9. Open and serve hot.
