Degi Chicken Steam Roast
Chicken Bhigonay ke Ajza:
Chicken (Leg Chest) 5-6
Pani Hasb e Zarurat
Sirka 1/2 cup
Namak 1 khanay ka chamach
Adrak Lehsan (katti hui) 2 khanay ke chamach

Degi Steam Roast Bananay ke Ajza:
Khanay ka Tail (frying ke liye) Hasb-e-Zarurat
Dahi 2 cup
Chaat masala 1 khanay ka chamach
Kutti Laal Mirchen 1 khanay ka chamach
Garam Masala Powder 1 khanay ka chamach
Zeera Powder 1 khanay ka chamach
Sukha Dhaniya (kutta huwa) 1 chaye ka chamach
Nimbo ka Ras 3 khanay ke chamach
Namak Hasb-e zaiqa
Orange Food Colour 1/2 Chaye ka chamach

Tarkeeb:
1. Chicken bhigonay ke liye aik bowl me pani, sirka, namak or adrak lehsan daal kar achi tarhan mix karlen.Ab is me chicken pieces daal kar 20 minutes ke liye bheego den.
2. Ab aik bartan me khanay ka tail garam kar ke ismay chicken piece daal kar 1 se 2-minute ke liye fry kr len.
3. Ab bowl me dahi, chaat masala,kutti laal mirch, garam masala powder, zeera powder, dhaniya nimbo ka ras,namak or lehsan ka paste daal kar achi tarhan mix krlen.
4. Ab talay huway chicken par tayar marinate dalen or 30 minutes ke liye marinate honay rakh den.
5. Ab aik steamer me pani daal kar ubalnay ke liye rakh den.phir ismay chicken pieces daal kar 30-35 minutes ke liye halki aanch par rakh den.
6. Degi Steam Roast tayar hai.

Degi Steam Roast

Ingredients for Soaked Chicken:
Chicken (leg & thigh piece) 5-6 each
Water as required
Vinegar 1/2 cup
Salt 1 tbsp
Ginger Garlic (chopped) 2 tbsp

Ingredients for Degi Steam Roast:
Oil (for frying) as required
Yogurt 2 cups
Chaat masala 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Coriander seeds (crushed) 1 tbsp
Lemon juice 3 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp / to taste
Orange food color 1/2 tsp

Directions for Soaked Chicken Preparation:
1. Take chicken pieces and place cuts on them with knife.
2. Add water, vinegar, salt, garlic, and mix well in a bowl. Add chicken pieces and soak for 20 mins.
3. Wash the chicken thoroughly after soaking and pat dry.
Directions for Degi Steam Roast Preparation:
4. In a pot heat oil and add chicken pieces. Fry them for 1-2 mins.
5. In a bowl add yogurt, chaat masala, red chili flakes, garam masala powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, orange food color, salt and mix it well.
6. Pour this prepared marinade over fried chicken and marinate the chicken for 30 mins.
7. In a steamer heat water and bring it to a boil. Steam the chicken pieces for 30-35 mins over low flame.
8. Your Degi Steam Roast is ready. Serve with pudina chutney and enjoy.
