Dates and Anjeer Modak #YumUtsav Ganesh Chaturthi Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Upgrade the level of richness of the Modak with dates and anjeer. Loaded with the goodness of such dried fruits, this Modak is as special as Ganesha.

DATES AND ANJEER MODAK

Ingredients

1 cup chopped dates
cup chopped dried figs (anjeer)
2 tbsps pistachios
2 tbsps raisins
cup almonds
2 tbsps grated dried coconut
2 tbsps poppy seeds (khaskhas)
tsp green cardamom powder

Method

1. Put pistachios, raisins, and almonds in a food processor and process to a coarse powder. Add dried coconut, poppy seeds and green cardamom powder and process to a coarse paste.
2. Transfer the coarse paste into a large bowl and mix. Take a portion of the mixture and stuff into a modak mould, gently press and demould.
3. Arrange the dates and anjeer modaks on a serving plate. Serve.
