Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Bread l 5 Second Rule with Julie Nolke | Tastemade

Your bananas are looking a little overripe. Oh well, time to throw them away. Not so fast! Julie shows us they are the perfect base for nutty, chocolatey banana bread. Waistlines be damned. Recipe below!

Ingredients

2 ¼ cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
3 large ripe bananas, mashed
5 tbsp smooth peanut butter
2 eggs, whisked
½ cup vegetable oil
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup chopped dark chocolate
½ cup chopped unsalted peanuts

Steps

1.) Preheat oven to 350˚F. Lightly grease and flour a loaf tin. Whisk together the flour, baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl.
2.) In a separate bowl put the mashed bananas, peanut butter, egg oil, sugar and vanilla and stir with a fork. Add the banana mixture to the flour mixture and stir together until just combined. Fold in the chopped chocolate and peanuts reserving some for the top.
3.) Pour into prepared tin and smooth the top before sprinkling with more chocolate and peanuts. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in tin for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
