Spread the love! :)Download our App - http://bit.ly/DownloadIndiaFoodNetworkAppIngredients:Chopped spinach: 1 bunch Chopped onion: 1 medium Soaked Dal: 1 cup Water as neededSalt to tasteFor masala:Chopped Coriander: ½ cup Grated Coconut: ½ cup Chopped green chillies: 1-2 Tamarind water: 3-4 tablespoonFor tadka:Oil, as neededChopped garlic cloves: 4-5 Turmeric powder: 1/4 teaspoon Method of preparation:- Start by adding spinach, onion, dal & water in a deep pan. Leave this to steam for around 30 mins.- In the meanwhile, make the chutney that will go in the dal. To make this chutney add coriander, coconut, green chillies & tamarind water in a mixture and grind it well till it becomes a paste. Keep aside. - Once the spinach & dal is cooked give it a good mix. Add salt and the chutney and mix it well. - Let it cook for another 5-7 mins.- Till then make the tadka by adding oil, garlic & turmeric powder in a small pan. Once it starts sizzling, immediately add it to the dal. - Give the dal one last mix and serve!
