Dal Pakwan Recipe Made Easy For You | Indian Mom's Kitchen

How about making Dal Pakwan for breakfast? Here's how you can make it the easy way.

Ingredients for the Dal:
1 cup Chana Dal
4 Green Chillies
1/2 tsp Jaggery
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Jeera (Cumin)
1/4 tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
1/2 tsp Amchur (Mango powder)
1/4 tsp Turmeric
3 tsp Oil
Method: Soak chana dal for 1 hour and cook till soft. Heat 3 tsp oil and put in jeera, hing, green chillies, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, amchur and the cooked dal. Add water, salt and jaggery and cook for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with coriander leaves. To serve, top the dal with Imli chutney, mint chutney, chopped onions and coriander leaves.

Ingredients for the Pakwan:
2.5 cups flour/ Maida
1/2 tsp Ajwain
Salt to taste
Water to knead
Method: Knead flour to form soft dough. Cover and rest for 1/2 hour. Make small balls and roll out thick puris. Prick the puris all over so that it does not puff up. Fry in hot oil till it turns brown and crispy. Serve hot with the plated dal.
