क्रीम चीज़ पाउंड केक | Cream Cheese Pound Cake | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Light, fluffy and chocolaty cake is delightful for any celebration.

CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE

Ingredients

⅓ cup butter, softened
⅓cup cream cheese, softened
¾ cup castor sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence
¾ cup refined flour (maida)
¼ tsp salt
1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
⅛ cup milk (optional)

Method

1. Preheat the oven at 180ºC.
2. Put the butter in a large bowl. Add cream cheese and beat with an electric beater till light. Add the castor sugar in batches and beat till the mixture turns light and fluffy.
3. Break in the egg one at a time and beat well in between each addition.
4. Add the vanilla essence and beat till well combined.
5. Sift the refined flour and salt directly into the mixture. Add the chocolate chips and gently fold in till well combined.
6. Pour in the milk and gently fold in till a smooth batter is formed. Transfer the batter into a desired silicon mould. Place it in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.
7. Bring the cake out of the oven and allow to cool completely. De-mould and cut the cake into slices and arrange on a serving plate.
