Kick start your parties with this fancy starter recipe- Corn Cheese Wontons, stuffed with sweet corn and cheddar cheese, an absolute delight!

CORN CHEESE WONTONS

Ingredients

1½ cups sweet corn, boiled
8-10 wonton sheets
100 grams cheddar cheese
1 tbsp oil + for deep frying
2 tsps finely chopped garlic
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1 tsp Tata Sampann Chilli Powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp dried mixed herbs
1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley leaves
Sweet chilli sauce to serve

Method

1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a non-stick shallow pan, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
2. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add sweet corn and toss well. Cook for 2-3 minutes, mixing occasionally.
3. Add Tata Sampann Chilli Powder, salt, and mixed herbs. Mix well and cook for 1 minute. Take it off the heat and transfer into a bowl. Allow to come to room temperature.
4. Grate cheese into the bowl, add chopped parsley and mix well. Set aside.
5. Take a wonton sheet and place a portion of the prepared stuffing in the centre. Apply slurry on the edges and shape it into a wonton.
6. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, drop in the prepared wontons and deep fry till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
7. Serve hot with sweet chilli sauce.
