Cooker Wala Chicken
Preparation time 10 minutes
Cooking time 25-30 minutes
Serve 4-5

Ingredients
For Chicken Marination
1 kg Whole chicken, cut into large pieces,
1 cups Curd, beaten,
tbsp Degi red chili powder,
1 tsp Turmeric powder,
1 heaped tbsp Coriander powder,
1 tsp Garam masala powder,
tsp Cumin powder,
Salt to taste,
1 tsp Lemon juice,
1 tbsp Oil,
2-3 tbsp Fried onions (optional)

For Cooker Wala Chicken
3-4 tbsp Mustard oil,
2-3 tbsp Oil,
2 no. Black cardamom,
3 no. Green cardamom,
1 no. Bay leaf,
inch Cinnamon stick,
9-10 no. Garlic cloves,
2 large Onions, roughly chopped,
tsp Turmeric powder,
1 tsp Degi red chili powder,
tsp Coriander powder,
1 inch Ginger (peeled & finely chopped)
1 tbsp Tender Coriander stems, finely chopped,
2 large Tomatoes, roughly chopped,
Marinated Chicken,
2-3 cups Water,
Salt to taste,
tbsp Ghee,
tbsp Prepared Masala,
2 tbsp fresh Coriander leaves, finely chopped,
1 no. Green chili (less spicy & slit into half)
Salt to taste,
A pinch of Sugar,

For Masala
2 tbsp Black peppercorns,
3-4 no. Cloves,
4-5 no. Black cardamom,
Salt to taste,

For Garnish
Coriander sprig,

Process
For Chicken Marination
In a bowl, add chicken, curd, degi red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, cumin powder, salt to taste, lemon juice, fried onions and mix it well.
Keep it aside to marinate for 30-40 minutes.

For Cooker Wala Chicken
In a cooker, add mustard oil, oil, once its hot, add black cardamom, green cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon stick and let it splutter.
Add garlic cloves, onion and saute it until golden in color.
Add turmeric powder, degi red chili powder, coriander powder and mix it well.
Add ginger, tender coriander stems and saute it for a minute.
Add tomato, cover it with a lid and cook it for 2-3 whistles until cooked well.
Mash it with the help of a masher and cook it for a while.
Add marinated chicken, water and get a quick boil.
Add salt to taste, ghee, prepared masala, coriander leaves and green chili.
Cover it with a lid and cook it for 4-5 whistles until cooked well.
Transfer it to a serving dish and garnish it with coriander sprig.
Serve hot with roti.

For Masala
In a bowl, add black pepper, cloves, black cardamom and salt to taste.
Transfer it to a mixer grinder jar and grind it smoothly.
Keep it aside for further use.
