A nutrient rich Halwa made with dried black dates (chuhare), lots of dry fruits and mawa, will help you stay warm during winter and will also make you feel royal!CHUHARE KA HALWAIngredients 3 cups dried black dates (chuhare), seeded 3½ cups milk2 tbsps + ¼ cup ghee¼ cup chopped almonds¼ cup chopped cashew nuts2 tbsps chopped pistachios2 tbsps grated dried coconut½ cup grated khoya/mawa2 tbsps sugar½ tsp green cardamom powderMethod1. Heat milk in a pan. Add the dates, mix well and cook on medium heat for 35-40 minutes or till they soften completely. Allow to cool.2. Transfer in a blender jar and grind to a coarse paste.3. Heat 2 tbsps ghee in a pan. Add almonds, cashew nuts, pistachios and coconut and sauté till golden brown. Transfer in a bowl and set aside.4. Heat remaining ghee in the same pan. Add the ground paste and sauté for 20-25 minutes or till the mixture is dry.5. Add khoya and cook for 4-5 minutes. Add sugar, fried nuts and green cardamom powder and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. 6.
