Hummus lovers, you should definitely try this chickpea version which is extremely masaledar and delicious!CHOLE MASALA HUMMUSIngredients2 cups boiled chickpeas (chole) with the cooking liquor reserved2 tbsps ghee2 green chillies, slit1 medium onion, chopped2 tsps ginger-green chilli paste2 medium tomatoes, chopped½ tsp red chilli powder¼ tsp turmeric powder1 tsp coriander powder1½ tsps Tata Sampann Chole Masala Salt to taste1 cup chickpea stock2 tbsps chopped fresh coriander1 tbsp lemon juiceOnion rings for garnishCherry tomato halves for garnishGreen chilli for garnishCoriander sprigs for garnishChilli oil to drizzleToasted kulcha triangles to serveMethod1. Heat ghee in a nonstick pan. Add green chillies and sauté for a few seconds. Add onions and sauté till golden brown.2. Add ginger-green chilli paste and sauté for a few seconds. Add tomatoes and sauté for 3-4 minutes or till the tomatoes are pulpy.3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and Tata Sampann Chole Masala and sauté for a few seconds.4. Add ½ cup water and cook for 2 minutes. Add the chickpeas, salt and mix well.5. Add 1 cup chickpea cooking liquor and mix well. Cover and cook for 5-6 minutes.6. Add coriander and mix well. Take the pan off the heat and allow to cool.7. Transfer in a blender jar, add lemon juice and grind to fine paste.8. Transfer into serving bowl. Garnish with onion rings, cherry tomato halves, green chilli and coriander sprig.9.
