BOILING:
2 cups/250 gms Chole/Kabuli Chana
2 tsp Tea leaves in bag
Salt
A piece cinnamon/dalchini
2 whole back cardamom/kali illaichi
A bayleaf/tejpatta

DRY MASALA:
1 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
2 green cardamom/hari illaichi
1 black cardamom/kali illaichi
1/2 tsp fennel seeds/sauf
1/2 tsp blackpeppercorns/kalimiri
a small piece of cinnamon/dalchini
4-5 cloves/long
1 tbsp coriander seeds/saboot dhania
3-4 dry red chillies
2 tsp dry pomogranate seeds/anardana

FOR GRAVY:
3-4 tbsp oil/ghee
1/4 tsp asafortida/heeng
1/2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
2 onion finely chopped
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste/crushed
Salt
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp aamchoor powder
3-4 tomatoes pure
2 tsp lemon juice (optional)

TEMPERING:
1 tbsp oil/ghee
few ginger/adrak pieces
2 green chillies
1/2 tsp jeera powder
1/2 tsp red chilly powder
some fresh coriander
