Chocolate Frappe | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Beat the heat with this delicious choc0 frappe. You cannot go wrong with this beverage; rather you will win brownie points by serving this lovely treat to your loved ones.

CHOCOLATE FRAPPÉ

Ingredients

1 cup chopped dark chocolate
½ cup fresh cream
2 tablespoons instant coffee powder
4 cups vanilla ice cream
1½ cups milk
Whipped cream for topping
Chocolate vermicelli for garnishing
Roasted coffee beans for garnishing

Method

1. To make chocolate ganache, heat cream in a non-stick pan till lukewarm. Add to the chocolate and mix till the chocolate melts and is smooth. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
2. Add some hot water to coffee powder and mix well to make a decoction.
3. Blend together chilled chocolate ganache, ice cream, milk and coffee decoction to a smooth mixture.
4. Pour into individual tall glasses. Top with whipped cream, garnish with chocolate vermicelli and coffee beans.
5. Serve immediately.
