Chocolate Cake Is the Most Popular Cake. Our Chocolate Cake is decadent. fudge. sweet. chocolate cake has got to be the most craved recipe in the world. Every year in the United States, January 27th is celebrated as National Chocolate Cake Day. Almost everyone loves chocolate cake because it is so delicious. It has been the most popular cake since Pillsbury introduced the flavor in 1948. Before then, there were only a few flavors of cake mixes such as yellow, white, spice, and ginger, made by General Mills. The mixes were very easy for cooks to use because all they had to do was to add water, mix, and bake.

Today, there are so many cakes to choose from. Some of the cakes include German chocolate, coconut, angel food, red velvet, carrot cake, black forest, butter cake, and bundt cake. However, the chocolate cake seems to be the favorite among many people especially those with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients:

1. FOR BATTER (Timeline 00:17)

Eggs - 4 (Separate White & Yolk)
Sugar - 80g

2. DRY INGREDIENTS (Timeline 00:48)

All Purpose Flour - 80g
Coco Powder - 80g
Baking Soda - 1g

3. WET INGREDIENTS (Timeline 01:24)

Milk - 50g
Dark Chocolate - 30g
Cooking Oil - 20g

4. FOR MOIST (Timeline 02:59)

Milk - 40g
Milk Chocolate - 20g

5. FROSTING (Timeline 02:40)

Sweetened Whipped Cream - 250ml
Coco Powder - 10g

METHOD:
1. Add sugar in 4 egg whites and beat for 3 - 4 minutes.
2. Add 4 egg yolks and beat again until soft peaks are formed.
3. Mix all dry ingredients (All Purpose Flour, Coco Powder, Baking Soda) and add in beaten eggs.
4. Mix dark chocolate and oil in warm milk, and add in batter.
5. Mix well and bake.
6. Meanwhile you can whip cream (mix coco powder in sweetened whipped cream and form stiff peaks)
7. Mix milk chocolate in Luke warm milk to spread on cake layers.
8. When cake is baked, cut it into 2 even layers.
9. Add liquid (step 7) on first layer (3-4 tbsp of liquid on each layer)
10. Add whipped cream and spread evenly
11. Add second layer and repeat step (in step 9)
12. Decorate.....!!!
