சில்லி சிக்கன் | Chilli Chicken in tamil | chilli chicken recipe | chicken chili recipe

Chilli Chicken:
Chilli Chicken is a sweet, spicy and slightly crispy appetizer made with boneless chicken cubes, spices and sauces. Most people assume that it is too spicy but it is not spicy. It has the right balances of taste. This is one of the best indo Chinese dish. Give it a try you will definitely love it.

Following are the ingredients to make tasty and yummy chilli chicken:

250 grams boneless chicken cubed
1 tbl spoon all purpose flour/maida
1 tbl spoon corn flour
1 capsicum chopped
1 big onion cut into cubes and layers seperated
1/4 tbl spoon pepper powder
3 green chilles split into two halves
3 dried red chillies
5 to 6 garlic cloves finely chopped
½ tbl spoon ginger garlic paste
2 tbl spoon red chilli sauce
1 tbl spoon tomato sauce
1 tbl spoon vinegar
1 egg
2 tbl spoon soya sauce
½ tbl spoon Kashmiri chilli powder
Salt as needed
Oil as needed

Lets start preparing:

For marinating
Step 1: Transfer the chicken cubes into a missing bowl.
Step 2: Add 1 tbl spoon of soya sauce. Leave the remaining for seasoning.
Step 3: Add all purpose flour followed by corn flour.
Step 4: Add 1 tbl spoon of red chilli sauce. Leave the remaining for seasoning.
Step 5: Add Kashmiri chilli powder. This is added to boost the colours.
Step 6: Add ginger garlic paste, pepper powder and then break open an egg.
Step 7: Add salt as needed and mix well. Set this aside for 30 minutes.

For Frying:
Step 1: Heat a pan with oil. Once it is hot add the marinated chicken one by one into it without crowding the pan.
Step 2: Flip the chicken cubes till they turn crispy and golden. Do not over heat the chicken cubes since they might turn hard.
Step 3: Transfer them into a bowl once cooked

For seasoning:
Step 1: Heat a pan with oil. You can reuse the oil that was used for frying the chicken. Once it is hot add the chopped garlic cloves.
Step 2: Add dried red chillies, green chillies and saute well.
Step 3: Add onions and saute them until they turn slightly soft to retain crunchiness at the end.
Step 4: Add capsicum and saute well.
Step 5: Add the remaining red chilli sauce, soya sauce and tomato sauce.
Step 6: Add a pinch of salt as needed since the added sauce are a bit salty in nature. Add little vinegar.
Step 7 : Finally add chicken to it. Toss well till the sauce coats evenly.

Hot and spicy chilli chicken is ready to be served
