Bread slices stuffed with spicy onion capsicum and cheese mixture, toasted to perfection.

CHILLI CHEESE TOAST

Ingredient

2 bread slices
½ cup grated cheese
1 medium onion, finely chopped
¼ green capsicum, finely chopped
¼ red capsicum, finely chopped
1 teaspoon freshly chopped coriander
Salt to taste
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
2-3 tablespoons butter

Method

1. In a bowl, add some cheese, onions, green and red capsicums, coriander, salt, green chilli, oregano and pepper powder. Mix well.
2. Apply butter on two sides of the bread slices, fill the mixture between them. Grill till golden brown and crisp.
3. To make an open cheese toast, take a bread slice and apply some butter on one side. Top it with the cheese filling, grill it in the griller or the oven for 10-15 minutes till the cheese melts and it becomes crisp and golden brown.
4. Once the cheese toast is grilled, cut it into half in triangular shape. Serve hot with ketchup.
