Ever tried chilkewale aloo? Not only is it extremely simple to make but extra delicious too!

CHILKHEWALE ALOO

Ingredients

4-5 medium potatoes, washed and pat dried
2 tbsps mustard oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsp chopped garlic
2 medium onions, chopped
Salt to taste
½ tsp Tata Sampann Turmeric Powder
½ lemon
½ tsp sugar
3 tbsps chopped fresh coriander
Coriander sprig for garnish

Method

1. Cut the potatoes into thin strips.
2. Heat mustard oil in a nonstick pan. Add cumin seeds and once they start to change the colour, add green chillies, garlic and sauté till garlic turns golden brown.
3. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
4. Add salt, turmeric powder and mix well. Add potatoes and mix well.
5. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes on medium heat.
6. Squeeze lemon, add sugar, coriander and mix well.
7. Transfer into serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
