A deliciously rich burfi with the goodness of season's favourite- Chickoo, is absolutely lip-smacking. The sweet delight is loaded with nuts to enhance the taste. CHICKOO BURFIIngredients8 chickoo, peeled, deseeded and grated3 tbsps slivered mixed nuts (pistachios, almonds, and cashew nuts)¼ cup grated mawa⅓ cup chopped jaggery½ tsp green cardamom powder¼ tsp cinnamon powder2½ tsps ghee + for greasingSilver varq for garnishMethod1. Dry roast slivered nuts in a non-stick pan on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Transfer on a plate.2. Transfer the chickoo into the same pan and continuously stir and cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes or till the chickoo turns soft and pulpy.3. Add mawa and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. 4. Add the jaggery and mix well. Cook till it melts.5. Continue to stir and cook till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. 6. Add green cardamom powder and cinnamon powder and mix well. Add ¾ of the roasted nuts, and ghee and mix till well combined. 7. Grease a burfi tray with some ghee. Add the mixture into it and spread it evenly till the top is leveled. Sprinkle the remaining roasted mixed nuts and press it lightly. 8. Set it aside to cool completely. 9. Apply silver varq, cut into squares and arrange on a serving plate. Serve.
