Chicken Tikka Masala | Homemade Chicken Tikka by Cooking with Asifa.
INGREDIENTS:
FOR MARINATION:
-Yoghurt 1/2 cup
-Salt 1 1/2 tsp
-Paprika powder 1 1/2 tsp
-Chilli flakes 1 tsp
-Garam masala 1 tsp
-Cumin powder 1 1/2 tsp
-Ginger & Garlic paste 2 tbsp
-Green chilli paste 1 tbsp
-Vinegar 1 tbsp
-Yellow food colour 2 pinch (optional)
-Chicken 1 kg
FOR PREPARING SEPARATE MASALA:
-Vegetable oil 6 tbsp
-Onion 1 large size (paste)
-Ginger & Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
-Green chilli paste 1 tbsp
-Tomatoes 4 large size (paste)
-Yoghurt 3 tbsp
-Water 1/3 cup
-Salt (as per taste)
-Kashmiri red chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
-Paprika powder 1/2 tsp
-Cumin powder 1 1/2 tsp
-Corriander powder 1 1/2 tsp
-Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
-Garam masala 1 tsp

PROCEDURE:
-In a bowl add yoghurt, salt, paprika powder, chilli flakes,garam masala, cumin powder, ginger & garlic, green chilli paste, vinegar, yellow food colour and then mix it well
Masala is ready, Put the masala on top of it and mix it well, cover it, let it rest for 1 hour and after 1-hour skewer the marinated chicken pieces on bamboo skewers,
preheat the oven before for 1 hour at 240*C then place them over baking tray then bake each side for 30 minutes mean 30 minutes one side and another side for 30 minutes, bake it until it turns into a slightly dark brown
on the edges
-Second step: put a pan on a flame then put oil then cook it until the colour changes into golden brown colour then add ginger and garlic paste, green chilli paste
let it cook for 2 minutes then add tomatoes, yoghurt, water, salt, Kashmiri red chilli powder, paprika powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder,garam masala
mix it well, cover it and let it rest it for 20 minutes, after 20 minutes mix it, then add chicken skewers in it then mix it well, switch off the flame.
-It's ready, Enjoy and serve it :)
