Chicken Swirls | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A yummy chicken starter for your parties or family get-togethers.

CHICKEN SWIRLS

Ingredients

8 chicken supremes
8 green olives, pitted
Salt to taste
Crushed pepper to taste
8 tsps oil
2 tsps butter
2 tsps refined flour
½ cup milk
¼ cup grated processed cheese
Chopped chives for sprinkling + for garnish

Method

1. Take chicken in a bowl, add salt, crushed black peppercorns, 4 tsps oil and mix well.
2. Place an olive in each piece of chicken and roll it, secure it using a toothpick.
3. Heat remaining oil in a non-stick shallow pan, place the chicken pieces and cook it till golden on both sides and completely cooked. Discard the toothpicks and take them off the heat.
4. Heat butter in another non-stick pan, add flour and whisk well. Cook till fragrant. Add milk and whisk till well combined. Cook till the mixture thickens.
5. Add cheese and mix well. Cook till the cheese melts completely. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and the chicken pieces and toss in the sauce. Cook for 2-3 minutes and add chopped chives. Take them off the heat.
6. Transfer into a serving plate, garnish with chives and serve hot.
