Chicken Potato Biryani
INGREDIENTS:

Cloves - - 3nos
Black cardamom - 2 nos.
Bay leaf - 2nos.
Cinnamon stick - 3 nos.
Mace - 2 nos.
Garlic - 10 cloves
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Fennel seeds - ½ tsp
Cumin seeds - ½ tsp
Pepper - 2 tsp
Ginger - 2 pieces
Onion - 3 nos.
Salt - as per taste
Chicken (Pieces) - 500gms
Potato (pieces) - 500gms
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Mint leaves - 1 bunch
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch
Water - as required
Ghee - 1 tsp
Shahi jeera - 1 tsp
Basmati rice - 1 cup
Green chillies - 5 nos.
Saffron water - 1 tsp
Peanuts - 25gms
Sesame seeds - 25gms
Coconut powder - 5 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Red chilli - 5 nos.
Fenugreek seeds - ½ tsp
Curry leaves - 1 springs
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 2 nos
Tamarind juice - 1 cup
Yogurt - ½ cup
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Capsicum - 1 no.


DIRECTIONS:


Take a blender add some cloves, black cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon sticks, mace, garlic, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, cumin seeds, pepper, ginger grind into a fine powder.

Heat oil in a pan, add onions, salt saute it till light brown in color and add masala paste, chicken pieces, potato pieces saute it chilli powder, mint leaves, coriander leaves, water, salt mix it.

Heat hot water, salt, ghee, shahi jeera, ghee, soaked basmati rice cook it for 70% using a lid.

Then transfer into the chicken curry pan, by topping up with green chillies, coriander leaves, saffron water cook dum with the lid it for 5 minutes.

Take a blender add peanuts, sesame seeds, coconut powder, water grind into a fine paste.

Heat oil in a paste, add mustard seeds, red chilli, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, onion, curry leaves, salt saute it till light brown in color.

Then add turmeric powder, peanut sesame paste cook it for slowly.

Now add chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder cook it until oil oozes out of the gravy.

Then add tomatoes, green chillies, tamarind juice, water, yogurt mix it and add garam masala powder, capsicum pieces cook it for few minutes.

At last, add coriander leaves cook it for a minute. Then switch off the flame.


Delicious chicken potato Biryani ready to serve with tasty salan curry.
