The dominant flavour of black pepper in this yummy chicken gravy is what makes it super special. A must-try for non-vegetarians!

CHICKEN KALIMIRI

Ingredients

400 grams chicken leg boneless, cut into 1 inch pieces
10-12 black peppercorns
2 tbsps ghee
4-5 green cardamoms
2 bay leaf
2-3 green chillies, chopped
1 cup boiled onion paste
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
¾ cup yogurt
2 tbsps cashew nut paste
1 tsp crushed black pepper + for garnish
½ tsp green cardamom powder
2 tbsps fresh cream + for garnish
1tbsp butter

Method

1. Heat ghee in a pan, add black peppercorns, green cardamom, bay leaf and green chillies, sauté for a minute.
2. Add onion paste and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add ginger garlic paste, sauté for a minute.
3. Add chicken and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add yogurt and cook for 3-4 minutes.
4. Add crushed black pepper, green cardamom powder and 1 cup water, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add fresh cream and butter, mix well.
6. Garnish it with fresh cream and crushed black peppercorns. Serve hot.
