Chicken Jambalaya - as done by Subha - MasterChef (American season 10) | Vahchef - VahRehVah

CHICKEN JAMBALAYA
INGREDIENTS:
Chicken - 300gms
Rice (soaked) - 1 cup
Bay leaf - 3 nos
Garlic (chopped) - 10 cloves
Onion (chopped) - 2 nos
Salt - as required
Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Tomato - 1 no
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Capsicum (green) - 1 no
Capsicum (Yellow) - 1 no
Spring onion (Chopped) - 2 tsp
Chicken Sausage - 300gms
Chicken stock - 1 cup
Salt - as per taste
Curry powder - 1 tsp
Mixed herbs - 1 tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Heat oil in a pan, add the bay leaf, garlic, onions, salt and saute it till light brown in color and add the chicken pieces, kashmiri red chilli powder, tomatoes, tomato puree cook it until all the raw flavors are gone.

Then add green capsicum, yellow capsicum, spring onion mix it and cook it for slightly transparent.

Now, add chicken sausage pieces, chicken stock cook it for a few minutes.

Seasoning salt, curry powder, mixed herbs, soaked rice, coriander leaves mix it and let it cook it for some times closed the lid on slow flame.

Roll the dough and make it into a thin sheet so that it seals the pot from all sides as shown in the video.

Take Okra pieces in a plate, add chopped ginger, crushed pepper, salt, oil mix it. Decorate it on top of the dough sealed the biryani pot.

Bake the oven to 180 degree centigrade for 20 minutes.


Delicious Chicken Jambalaya is ready to serve with cucumber raita.
