Chicken Hazarvi Kabab | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Chicken pieces coated with creamy flavourful marination, lined up in skewers and cooked in oven.

CHICKEN HAZARVI

Ingredients

250 grams boneless chicken, cut into 1 inch cubes
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
½ teaspoon black pepper powder
½ cup grated processed cheese
1 green chilli, finely chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
½ teaspoon mace powder
½ teaspoon nutmeg powder
1 egg
2 tablespoons fresh cream
Butter for basting

Method

1. Preheat oven at 180ºC. Spread an aluminium sheet on a baking tray.
2. Take chicken cubes in a bowl. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt and pepper powder and mix well. Set aside for 10 minutes.
3. Combine cheese, green chilli and chopped coriander in another bowl and mix well. Add mace powder and nutmeg powder and mix again.
4. Add egg and mix well. Add chicken and mix well. Add cream and mix well. Refrigerate to marinate for 2 hours.
5. Skewer the marinated chicken cubes onto satay sticks, put the sticks on the tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes, basting with butter at intervals.
6. Serve hot.
