CHHUNDA BREAD PAKODAIngredients4 tbsps ready-made chhunda8 white bread slicesOil for deep frying1½ cups Tata Sampann Fine Besan¼ tsp red chilli powderA pinch of turmeric powder½ tsp coriander powder¼ tsp cumin powderSalt to taste A pinch of baking sodaChaat masala for sprinklingGreen chutney to serveMethod1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.2. To make the batter, take Tata Sampann Fine Besan in a large bowl. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt and mix well.3. Add ½ cup water and whisk to a smooth batter of coating consistency. Add baking soda and mix.4. Trim the edges of the bread slices. 5. To make 1 bread pakoda, apply 1 tbsp chhunda on to a bread slice and place another one on top. Gently press and cut into 4 pieces.6. Dip each piece in the batter and gently slide a few at a time into the hot oil. Deep fry till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. 7.
