Cheese Chilli Bread Pakora | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A chilli cheese mixture with bell peppers stuffed between bread slices, coated with pakoda batter and fried.

CHEESE CHILLI BREAD PAKORA

Ingredients

¼ cup grated mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated processed cheese
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
8 white bread slices
Oil for deep-frying
½ medium yellow bell pepper, finely chopped
½ medium red bell pepper, finely chopped
½ medium green capsicum, finely chopped
Salt to taste
1 cup gram flour
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
A pinch baking soda

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Take mozzarella cheese in a bowl. Add processed cheese, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, green capsicum, green chillies and salt and mix.
3. Take gram flour in another bowl. Add turmeric powder and some water, whisk to get a semi-thick batter.
4. Add salt and baking soda and whisk again.
5. Spread some cheese mixture on top of 4 bread slices and cover with remaining 4 slices.
6. Cut each prepared bread slices into 2 equal triangles.
7. Dip each bread triangle into the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
8. Serve hot.
