Chatpata Aloo naan
Ingredients for naan:
Flour 1 cup
Salt 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Baking powder 1/4 tsp
Baking soda 1/4 tsp
Yogurt 1/2 cup
Oil 1 tbsp
Water as required
Ingredients for aloo tikki:
Potatoes (boiled) 1/2 kg
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Peas (boiled) 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Rice flour 1/4 cup
Green chutney 3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Ingredients for batter:
Corn starch 1/2 cup
Four 1/2 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Water as required
Bread crumbs as required
Ingredients for chili mayo sauce:
Chili sauce 3 tbsp
Mayonnaise 1 cup
White pepper powder 1 tsp
Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
Directions:
In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, yogurt and oil. Gradually add water and knead until soft dough form. Set it aside for 5 to 10 minutes at least.
For batter in a bowl add flour, corn flour, salt, water and make a fine batter.
For potato mixture firstly take boiled potatoes in a bowl and mash them well.
In a pan heat oil, add ginger garlic paste, peas, rice flour, and mix for 2 minutes. Add potatoes, cumin powder, green chutney, salt, garam masala powder, red chili powder and mix them well. Your potato mixture is ready.
Make tikki/cutlet shape from potato mixture and dip it in corn flour batter and then coat in bread crumbs.
Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry them until light golden brown from both sides. Keep aside.
Take dough, make small balls of it and roll out each in small oval shapes. Toast them on a flat pan for 1 to 2 minutes each side. Don’t overcook them.
Prepare chili mayo sauce by mixing red chili sauce, mayonnaise, white pepper powder and garlic powder in a bowl. Sauce is ready set aside.
Assemble your aloo naan, take naan spread sauce on it. Top it with onions, aloo tikki and drizzle some more sauce on top.
Fold it half and grill each side for 30 seconds again and its ready.
Serve your tasty aloo naan and enjoy.
