Whether they like to have it with subzi and dal, rolled up with grated veggies and cheese, or with a layer of jam, the Chapati is much-loved by kids. Ensure that you make it with good quality whole wheat flour so it is healthy and satiating for your kids.Preparation Time: 5 minutes.Cooking Time: 15 minutes.Makes 6 chapatis 1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)1 tsp oilSalt to tasteWhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta) for rollingOil for kneading and cooking1. Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough water.2. Knead well using a little oil.3. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out each portion of the dough into a 150 mm. (6”) diameter thin circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.4. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) on a medium flame and when hot, place the rolled chapati gently over it.5. Cook it till small blisters appear on the surface. Turn it over and press all over lightly using a muslin cloth till it puffs up.6. Apply oil on both the sides and cook it on the tava (griddle) for a few more seconds. Serve immediately.
