Soak black chickpeas in warm water for 2-3 hours.2. Bring water to a boil in a pot and add salt, add soaked black chickpeas and salt. Partially cover with lid and boil until black chickpeas are tender. 3. Reserve the chickpea stock for later use. 4. Now, in a pot, heat oil. Add onion, garlic and cook for 4-7 minutes over medium heat until onion starts to get brown. Add tomato puree and cook 4-5 minutes.5. Add salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium to low flame. Add chickpea stock if required and cook for 2-3 minutes or until oil separates.6. Add boiled black chickpeas, green chilies and cook for 2-3 minutes.7. Dish it out, Squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle Shan chaat masala and green coriander. Serve.
