Delicious cheese stuffed raw banana tikkis coated in crunchy chatpata chana chor garam and fried.

CHANA GHOR GARAM TIKKI

Ingredients

1 cup chana jor garam
2 medium raw bananas, boiled, peeled and grated
Oil for deep-frying
2 tablespoons grated cottage cheese
1 tablespoon grated mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons grated processed cheese
1 green chilli, chopped
1 teaspoon red chilli flakes
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 brown bread slice
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon refined flour (maida)

Method

1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
2. Take chana jor garam in a zip-lock bag, seal and coarsely crush using a rolling pin. Transfer in a bowl.
3. To prepare stuffing, mix together cottage cheese, mozzarella cheese, green chilli, chilli flakes and dried oregano on a plate.
4. Divide the cheese mixture into small equal portions and shape into balls.
5. Take bread slice in another bowl. Add 1-2 tablespoons water and crush. Add raw bananas and salt and mix well.
6. Divide the banana mixture into equal portions. Make cavity in the center of each portion, place one ball of stuffing, seal and shape into tikkis.
7. Take flour in another bowl. Add some water and mix well to make a semi-thick and smooth slurry.
8. Dip each tikki in slurry and coat with crushed chana ghor garam.
9. Deep-fry each prepared tikki in hot oil till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
10. Serve hot topped with tomato ketchup.
