Watch this video for the recipe for Cabbage Chana Dal CABBAGE CHANA DALIngredients250 grams cabbage, shredded½ cup Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked2-3 tablespoons oil½ teaspoon mustard seeds1 teaspoon cumin seedsA pinch of asafoetida6-8 curry leaves¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 teaspoon red chilli powder2 teaspoons coriander-cumin powderSalt to taste½ teaspoon sugar2 tablespoons scraped fresh coconutMethod1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add mustard seeds. Once they start to splutter, add cumin seeds. When cumin seeds change colour, add asafoetida and curry leaves and sauté for a few seconds.2. Add split Bengal gram and sauté for two to three minutes.3. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander-cumin powder and mix well.4. Add cabbage and mix well. Reduce heat and cook for two to three minutes.5. Add salt and sugar and mix well. Cover and cook till both cabbage and Bengal gram are completely cooked.6.
