Heat oil in a pan add whole garam masala, peppercorns, bay leaves onion slices, salt, cook the onions till it is brown in color. 2. And add sugar lightly caramelize it & mix it well, add water (1:2), to the boiling water add Basmati Rice put the lid on and let it cook for 5 minutes. 3. Then mix it once and again put the lid on and let it cook for some time in a slow flame and switch off the flame.4.
