INGREDIENTS (Serves 9):
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 heaping teaspoon kosher salt
2 eggs
4 teaspoons good-quality vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups dark brown sugar (light brown is a good second choice)
1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
