Bread Idli | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

A unique way to make delicious Idlis for your breakast.

BREAD IDLI

Ingredients

4 white bread slices
2 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed
3 tbsps freshly chopped coriander
2 green chillies, chopped
Salt to taste
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ cup yogurt
½ medium carrot, grated
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
2 tsps oil
Coconut chutney to serve

Method

1. Cut out roundels of breads with a medium sized cookie cutter. Set aside.
2. Take potatoes in a bowl. Add 2 tbsps coriander, green chillies, salt and turmeric powder. Mix well and set aside.
3. Take yogurt, carrot, remaining coriander and salt in another bowl. Mix well. Set aside.
4. Add spoons of potato mixture on the bread roundels and spread it.
5. Add spoons of curd mixture on the other side of bread roundels and spread it.
6. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, place the bread roundels with the potato mixture side facing down. Cover and cook on medium heat till golden brown on one side.
7. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
