BHAJNEE THALIPEETH

Ingredients

1½ cups bhajnee flour
2 medium onions, finely chopped
1½ tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1½ teaspoons goda masala
1 tablespoon oil + as required

Method

1. Mix together bhajnee flour, onion, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder and goda masala in a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon oil and sufficient water and knead into a semi-soft dough.
2. Divide the dough into large equal portions.
3. Place a portion on a non-stick tawa, drizzle some oil on it and flatten into a thick disc with dampened palms. Make holes on it and drizzle some on in them.
4. Place the tawa on heat, cover and cook till evenly done from both the sides. Similarly, make more thalipeeths.
5. Cut into wedges and serve hot with yogurt.
