Diwali without these delicious laddoos is incomplete! So, if you haven’t already made a batch, you should definitely get started! Just the aroma of roasted besan and desi ghee is enough to make your mouth water.

BESAN KE LADDOO

Ingredients

2 cups gram flour (besan)
½ cup ghee
4-8 green cardamom kernels
1 teaspoon green cardamom powder
½ tablespoon cashew powder
½ tablespoon almond powder
1 cup powdered sugar
Raisins for garnishing

Method

1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add green cardamom kernels and gram flour and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring continously. Remove from heat, transfer to a bowl and set aside to cool to room temperature.
2. Add cardamom powder, cashew powder, almond powder, sugar to the gram flour mixture and mix gently.
3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into ladoos.
4. Garnish with raisins and serve.
