Bangda Fry | Cooksmart | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Sometimes we need a quick recipe and this is just that! Readymade masala mackerels rolled in spiced flour mixture and shallow fried.

BANGDA FRY

Ingredients

4 frozen masala mackerels (bangda)
¼ cup semolina (rawa / suji)
2 tbsps rice flour
Salt to taste
¼ tsp red chilli powder
2 tbsps oil
A few onion rings
A lemon slice
A sprig of fresh coriander leaves

Method

1. Mix semolina, rice flour, salt and red chilli plate in a plate.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
3. Remove the frozen marinated mackerels from the packet and roll in the semolina mixture.
4. Put them in the pan and shallow-fry. When the underside turns golden, turn them over and cook the other side similarly.
5. Drain and place them on a serving plate. Garnish with onion rings, lemon slice and coriander sprig and serve hot.
