This Banana payasam is so delicious that it is impossible to describe it in words. You have to taste it to feel that out of the world experience. Given below are the step by step instructions on how to make Banana Payasam at home.

ingredients:
1/2 kg ripe Kerala Bananas
1/4 cup Coconut pieces
150 gms Jaggery
1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
2 cups thin Coconut milk
1 cup thick Coconut milk
3 tbsp Ghee
Few Cashew nuts
Few Raisins

Method: Heat 1 tbsp ghee and fry the Coconut pieces, Cashew nuts and Raisins till brown. Remove and keep aside.
Heat 1 tbsp ghee and fry the cut Banana pieces till they turn soft and golden brown. Cool and grind to a fine paste using 1 cup of thin Coconut milk.
Melt Jaggery in 1 cup of water, strain the syrup and keep aside.
Heat 1 tbsp Ghee and fry the Banana paste till it starts leaving the sides of the pan. Add the second cup of thin Coconut milk and bring it to a boil.
Pour in the Jaggery syrup and mix well. Once the Payasam starts boiling, switch off the flame and add the thick Coconut milk, a pinch of Salt, Cardamom powder, fried Coconut pieces, Cashews and Raisins. Banana Payasam is ready.
