Bacon Hotdog | Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana

Hotdog stuffed with bacon wrapped sausages.

BACON HOTDOG

Ingredients

7-8 bacon rashers
2-3 hotdog buns
4-5 chicken sausages
3-4 pickled jalapenos
1 pickled gherkin
½ small onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Salt to taste
Black pepper powder to taste
3-4 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
2-3 cheese slices
Tomato ketchup for topping
Mustard sauce for topping

Method

1. Wrap bacon reserving some around chicken sausages, securing a toothpick.
2. Place wrapped sausages in a non-stick pan, cook till crisp.
3. Make a slit on a hotdog bun without cutting through.
4. Roughly chop jalapenos and gherkin and transfer into a bowl.
5. Add onion, mayonnaise, salt and pepper powder and mix well.
6. Add parsley and mix well.
7. Apply butter in the hotdog bun.
8. Cut cheese slices into thin strips, place some of them over buttered side, spread the prepared dip over it.
9. Remove inserted toothpick from the sausages and place them over the dip.
10. Place some more cheese strips over the sausages.
11. Heat bacon in the same pan till crisp and lightly browned on both the sides.
12. Spread some dip over the sausages.
13. Place crispy bacon over the dip, top with mustard sauce and tomato ketchup.
14. Serve hot with fried sausages.
