Bacon Gravy Recipe

Bacon gravy. It's like liquid bacon you can pour over meat and potatoes!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion diced
6 strips bacon diced
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon cornstarch
3 1/2 cups chicken broth
salt and pepper


Instructions

1 00:00:37 - Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Add in onion and saute about 5 minutes. Add in bacon and saute another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Stir in paprika and let it heat for about 1 minute, just enough to release its flavor.

2 00:00:57 - Stir in cornstarch until no more white specks appear. Pour in chicken broth and heat to a simmer. Continue simmering 5 minutes and let liquid thicken.

3 00:01:19 - Pour all contents of the saucepan into a blender and blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

4 00:01:36 - Serve hot, or store in an airtight container and re-heat in a saucepan when ready to serve.
