Appam with Chicken Stew Curry
INGREDIENTS:
Idli rice - 1cup
Urad dal - ½ cup
Fenugreek seeds - ½ tsp
Coconut - ½ no
Water - As required
Oil - As per taste
Bay leaf - 2 nos.
Whole garam masala - 1 tsp
Pepper - 1 tsp
Onions - 1 no.
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Turmeric powder - ½ tsp
Chicken (pieces) - 500 tsp
Green chillies - 5 nos.
Tomato pieces - 2 nos.
Coconut paste - 1 cup
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Cumin powder - ½ tsp
Fennel powder - ½ tsp
DIRECTIONS:
Take idli rice in a bowl, add urad dal, fenugreek seeds, coconut, water soak it for 4 hours and grind into a batter and ferment it for an overnight.

Heat oil in a pan, add bay leaf, whole garam masala, pepper, chopped onions, ginger garlic paste,salt, turmeric powder saute it till light brown in color.

Then add chicken pieces, chicken stock cook it for few minutes.

Now, add green chillies, tomato pieces, coconut paste and add coriander powder, cumin powder, fennel powder. Let it cook till it comes to a nice boil and nice aroma comes out of it.

Take appam batter, heat a appam pan, pour the batter closed the lid on cook it well.

Tasty breakfast recipe appam ready to serve with chicken Stew Curry.
