AMBE DALIngredients1 medium raw mango, peeled and grated1 cup split Bengal gram (chana dal), soaked for 2 hours and drained2 green chillies, finely chopped1 cup scraped fresh coconut1 medium cucumber, peeled and grated1 tablespoon sugarSalt to taste2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander 2 teaspoons oil 1 teaspoon mustard seeds½ teaspoon asafoetida3 dried red chillies, broken1 teaspoon turmeric powderMethod1. Grind split Bengal gram and green chillies in a mixer to a coarse mixture. Transfer into a mixing bowl.2. Add coconut, cucumber and raw mango and mix well.3. Add sugar, salt and coriander leaves and mix well.4. For tempering, heat oil in a small non-stick pan, add mustard seeds, asafoetida, red chillies and turmeric powder. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add it to the mixture and mix well. 5.
