Ambat Batata (Tangy Potato) At Home By Roopa Nabar | Coastal Kitchen | India Food Network

Once again, Roopa shows us how to make a recipe, coastal style. This Ambat Batata is sure to excite your taste buds. Watch this video to learn how to cook Ambat Batata at home & team is up with some yummy crispy puris!

ingredients:
2 medium sized Potatoes (cut into thick wedges)
1/2 cup Grated Fresh Coconut
1 tsp Chickpea Flour
2 tbsp Oil
1/2 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
1/2 tsp Hing/Asafoetida
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
11/2 tsp Chilli Powder
2tbsp Tamarind Pulp
1 tsp Jaggery
Salt (to taste)

Method:
Heat oil in a shallow pan & add fenugreek seeds, hing & turmeric powder
Add chopped potato fry over high heat for a 1min then add the chilli powder.
Stir in and add 1 cup water; cover and cook till half done.
In a mix jar, grind chickpea flour, coconut and tamarind pulp together.
Check the potato. When it's half done, add salt and the ground mixture to it.
Cook further for 2 mins on simmer.
Add jaggery and cook further till potatoes are done.
Serve with puri
