A vegetarian version of burger loved by one and all. Watch the video to know how to make this at home.ALOO TIKKI BURGERIngredients4 medium potatoes, boiled & peeled4 burger buns1 teaspoon red chilli powder1 teaspoon cumin powder¼ teaspoon turmeric powder1 tablespoons coriander powder½ teaspoon chaat masala2 tablespoons chopped fresh corianderSalt to taste¼ cup dried breadcrumbsOil for deep frying2 tablespoons green chutney2 tablespoons mayonnaiseA few Iceberg lettuce leaves, refreshed1 onion, cut into fine rings1 tomato, cut into fine rings4 cheese slices 4 cherry tomatoes for servingMethod1. Mash the potatoes in a bowl. Add red chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, chopped coriander, salt, and breadcrumbs. Mix well.2. Divide the mixture into equal portions shaped into patty. Lightly flatten and roll on a flat surface to get even edges. Put it in a zip lock bag and freeze overnight.3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry frozen potato tikkis till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.4. Combine mayonnaise and green chutney in a bowl. Mix well.5. Cut the burger buns horizontally into halves.6. Spread a tablespoon of mayo- chutney mixture on bottom half of the burger buns.7. Place a few lettuce leaves then the tikki, 1-2 tomato slices, 1-2 onion rings and a spoonful of the mayo-chutney mixture. Place a cheese slice and cover with the other half of the bun.8. Skewer a cherry tomato on a toothpick and secure the burger with it. Serve immediately.
